Last of the Roman Road

[23] For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:23 ESV)

[9] because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(Romans 10:9 ESV)

[13] For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
(Romans 10:13 ESV)

The grand finale to the Roman Road is simple: the wage of sin is death. Christ Jesus gave the free gift of eternal life. What do you have to do to accept the gift? This is even more simplified in the equation Paul writes: Confess that Jesus is Lord+Believe in Your Heart=Salvation. I like that the verse very pointedly says confess with your mouth. Not confess in your head and hide it from the rest of the world: show it (we're not talking thumping people with bibles though, folks). Next truly, truly, believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, so that we may be raised from the dead as well. The best and final part: EVERYONE who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Don't miss the second part; it is not saying that everyone will be saved, but everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Just another example of God's profound love for us.
Now, if anyone asks us about Jesus, we have all of the simplified concepts concerning salvation. We just have to be willing to take that road.
